Effective October 7, 2026
Privacy
The first gratitude box is private. This notice explains what happens only if you later choose to submit and what this site does not collect.
What stays on your device
The gratitude box on the homepage is private. Words you type there stay in your browser. WAYGFT does not transmit, store, log, or analyze that text, and it does not send the text to analytics.
Choosing Keep Private Here keeps the reflection private and sends nothing. Choosing See Ways to Act moves you toward actions you can take. It does not submit the reflection.
When sharing is open, the words are placed in this browser’s session storage only after you choose Continue to Share, so the publication form can show them. They are removed after you submit or when you clear them. A full browser close can also clear session storage. Preview how sharing works does not store or send the reflection while sharing is closed.
What is stored if you submit
Nothing is stored unless you open the publication form and submit it while public sharing is open. Sharing is not open until the required approvals and database configuration are in place.
A submission can include the gratitude text, the display name you choose, an optional email address, publication permission, and a separate contact permission. The original text is kept for moderation. A public version is created only if a moderator approves it.
Every submission starts as pending. Nothing is published automatically.
What other people can see
The public Gratitude Wall shows only approved entries: the published text, the display name you chose, a featured label when a moderator selects one, and the publication date.
The public site does not show email addresses, contact permission, moderator notes, reviewer identity, or entries that are pending, rejected, or archived.
Email and contact
Email is optional and is never displayed on the Gratitude Wall. Dawn’s Heart may use it to contact you only if you separately allow that. Publication permission does not include contact permission. An optional email address is kept until you opt out of contact or the related entry is removed.
Do not put phone numbers, email addresses, street addresses, or another person’s private information in the gratitude text.
Payments
This website does not collect card numbers, bank details, or tax information. A check payable to Cure on Wheels, Inc., with Dawn’s Heart on the memo line, can be mailed to Cure on Wheels. Online gifts, once that platform is open, are completed on a Cure on Wheels giving page. Donor records for online gifts are handled by Cure on Wheels and the giving provider, not by the WAYGFT gratitude form.
Analytics and technical data
Analytics are off unless a privacy-conscious measurement tool is configured. If analytics are on, they may record that an event happened, such as a visit to the Gratitude Wall or a click on Support. They are not permitted to receive the gratitude text.
The website is hosted on Vercel in the United States (Washington, D.C., region iad1). Vercel may process standard technical request data needed to deliver the website. When public sharing is open, submissions are stored in Supabase in the United States (AWS us-east-1, North Virginia). Cloudflare Turnstile checks a submission for automated abuse before it can be stored. Turnstile receives the check token and may receive the request address for that check. WAYGFT does not store that address on the gratitude entry.
A short-lived rate-limit hash may be stored in Supabase to slow repeated submissions. The hash is not the gratitude text, it is not the IP address, and it is not part of the gratitude record. Expired rate-limit rows are removed.
Submission records are kept as Dawn’s Heart moderation records until you ask for removal. Optional email addresses are kept until you opt out of contact or the related entry is removed. Public submissions remain closed until the production database credentials and Turnstile keys are in place.
Children
People under 13 may not submit gratitude entries. A person under 18 should submit only with permission from a parent or guardian.
Removal
Send a removal or correction request by email to the moderation team. George S. Bernardich leads that team, which includes Dawn’s Heart and Cure on Wheels leadership he assembles. The same team receives the request. A contact form may be added later.
The team deletes the submission record within 10 business days. Deletion removes the entry from storage and from the public site. Archiving only hides an entry; a removal request asks for deletion.
Opting out of contact removes the email address and contact permission. It does not by itself delete the gratitude record.
Send the request to happy@waygft.com. Public submissions remain closed until the production database credentials and Turnstile keys are in place.
